What is Domain Tasting?
Our Doman tasting service is an innovative service that allows you to evaluate the value of currently availabledomains. When you add domains to your Domain Tasting Queue, our system will check if the domains are currently available. If they are, and you have available credit on your Domain Tasting account, we will register the domains and place them on your "Active Domains" list. Domains can be evaluated for 4.5 days. If you are not satisfied with the results of any of the domains you evaluate, you do not need to do anything, they will be automatically deleted and your account will be credited for the registry fee. If on the other hand you have a positive evaluation, you can keep the domain(s) by clicking on the "Keep" button which will complete the registration process with the who is information in your account preferences.
How much does it cost to use Domain Tasting?
There is no cost to sign up for Domain Tasting however you must add sufficient credit to your Domain Tasting account upfront in order to use the service. When a domain is added to your “Domains in Evaluation” list, the fees will be debited from your Domain Tasting account. This amount includes both the non-refundable Domain Tasting evaluation fee (the Domain Tasting evaluation fee varies depending on the pricing pption selected by you - see table below for breakdown) and the registration cost of the domain which will depend on TLD. If you do not choose to keep a domain after it is evaluated, the registration cost will be credited to your Domain Tasting account. If you choose to keep a domain before the evaluation period is over, no money will be credited to your account. Registration fees are $7.25 per registration.

Assuming your Domain Retention Cost (cost to keep a domain) is $7.25,cost to taste
a domain is $3.25 and commission is 27 cents.For every domain tasted through your
account , we will initially deduct $3.25.On deletion of the domain $2.98 will be
refunded to your account.If you choose to keep the domain, an additional $4 ($7.25-$3.25)
will be deducted from your account.
Suppose you add $100 to your account.With the current pricing of $3.25, your $100
can be used to taste 30 domains.If the pricing is set to $7.25, you can only taste
13 domains with the same $100.
How can I sign up for the Domain Tasting service?
You must have an account with is in order to use the Domain Tasting service. If you do not already have an account, go the following link to create a free account: Sign-up. Once you have logged in to your account, you must add credit to your Domain Tasting account before using the service.
What is the Domain Tasting Queue?
After you add a domain with the "Add Domain Tool", it will be added to your Domain Tasting Queue. Our system will then check if the domain is available for registration. If the domain is available and you have sufficient credit in your Domain Tasting account, the domain will be registered and moved from your Queue to your "Active Domains" list. If the domain is not available for registration, it will remain in your Queue. You can remove domains from your Queue by selecting the remove box next to your domain and clicking on the "update" button.
When will domains get added to my Active Domains list?
When a domain is added to your Domain Tasting Queue, our system will check if the domain is available for registration. If the domain is available and you have sufficient credit in your Domain Tasting account, the domain will be moved to your "Active Domains" list.
What happens after Domain Tasting has attempted to register a domain I added to my Queue and the domain is not currently available for registration?
When you add a domain to your Domain Tasting queue, we will attempt to register the domain should you have sufficient Domain Tasting credit. If the domain is not currently available for registration, the "last attempt" column will be updated with the current date and the domain will remain in your Queue. The Domain Tasting system will re-attempt to register the domain once per day should sufficient credit be available in your account. The last attempt column in your account will be updated accordingly.
How can I measure the value of the domains in my “Domains in Evaluation” list?
When a domain is added to your Domains in Evaluation list, you can evaluate its value by pointing it to the DNS of your current monetization (Domain Parking) service.We recommend using Domain Sponsor. To ensure you get the most out of Domain Tasting (Domain Tasting), remember to specify your DNS on the NameServers page onf your Tasting account. Domain Tasting will automatically direct your domains to your monetization service for a 4.5 day period immediately after they are added to your Active Domains list.
What happens when I keep or discard domains from my “Domains in Evaluation” list?
If you explicitly "keep" a domain from your Domains in Evaluation list, the domain registration will be completed at dotcomgenie.com with the whois information indicated in your account preferences. If you explicitly "discard" a domain from your Domains in Evaluation list, the registration cost of the domain will be credited to your Domain Tasting account.
If you do not explicitly "keep" or "discard" a domain in your "Domains in Evaluation" list while it is being evaluated, it will automatically be discarded from your Domain Tasting account once the evaluation period is over, and the registration cost of the domain will be credited to your Domain Tasting account.
How can I add credit to my Domain Tasting account?
Click on the Add funds link in the top menu of this page. Follow the instructions given on that page. Please note: a minimum credit amount of US $50 must be added to your Domain Tasting account in order for you to use the service.
Where can I see the history of my transactions?
Login in to your domain tasting Account and click on the History Button.You would be able to see a list of all domains registered through your account in addition to the registration and Deletion dates.
